In short: Plantis requires no account, collects no personally identifying data, shows no advertising and sells nothing. Your scans, your health profile and your history stay on your device. Only the text you type into the Advice assistant is sent to our servers to generate a reply (see §4).
Plantis is an iOS app providing information about medications and herbal medicine, published by Mitch Landry (France). For any question: mitch_landry@live.fr.
Recognition of medication packaging (photo or camera) is performed on your device using Apple Vision technologies. Photos never leave your phone. Only the detected medication name (or your search query) is sent anonymously to our server to query public medication databases (the official French database) and generate the information displayed.
If you choose to enable the Health (HealthKit) integration or to fill in a profile (allergies, treatments, pregnancy), that information is stored only on your device and is used solely to personalise the warnings shown. It is never transmitted to our servers or to third parties. This does not cover the text you yourself type into the Advice assistant, which is handled as described in §4.
The Health integration reads only two characteristics: your date of birth and your biological sex, read-only, to pre-fill your profile. Plantis never writes to Health and reads no health records. This reading happens only when you tap "Connect Apple Health" or "Import from Health" yourself — there is no automatic or background synchronisation. Your allergies and current treatments are entered manually by you, and are never imported from Health. This information stays on your device, is not stored in iCloud, and is used solely to warn you about a possible contraindication. You can revoke this access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Plantis.
Your scan history, favourites, herbarium and preferences are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Plantis+ subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple's App Store. We receive neither your identity nor your payment details. To manage or cancel: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Daily reminders and tips are local notifications, scheduled on your device. You can turn them off at any time in iOS settings.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data. As almost all data is stored on your device, erasing it is done by deleting the app. For any request: mitch_landry@live.fr.
